Harvest Feast

      Hail Kingdom of Pentwyvern!! The cold winds of winter have begun to whisper across the lands. The end of another glorious raiding season has come to an end. The long ships are ready for storage, and the crops have come in from the fields. Tis time to enjoy our bounty and glory with the annual Harvest Feast. So please come and join friends and allies, old and new in grand celebration of the season.

      The day has been set, Saturday, November 25th for battles, tourneys, feasting, and revelry around the bonfire. There shall be battles of many kinds to test your mettle, tournaments for newbs and veterans alike, and even some monsters to slay in the forest if all goes well… and if that is not enough for you, there shall be bardic competitions, best table setting, and best garb awards, as well. So dress in the colors of the season, red, orange, yellow, and gold, bring your best feast gear, and a better story, or song. Competition will be great, so be prepared to bring it all to the table, as it were.

      Feast Master Gavin Mac Lund of the Fianna shall again be preparing this feast (so bring your appetite, and your hollow leg, you are going to need them). So come, one and all, and support your realm. See friends you have not seen in ages, and make new friends you shall never forget. Attendance for this feast is expected to be high, so register early to ensure your place. This feast is likely to be the last great bash of the season, so do not get caught sitting at home, wishing you had made it to this event.

      The feast will take place at the Brooklyn Exchange Club Cabin in Hinckley Ohio. We have reserved the hall for the weekend, from Friday afternoon (4pm) till Sunday afternoon (12pm). The cabin is heated, spacious, and has plenty of crash space (bunks -sans mattresses-, and plenty of floor space) for those who wish to stay for the night, or the weekend. There are also gracious amounts of camping space for those stalwart few that prefer a bit of privacy, and sleep… This site is also very wet… for those of age.

      For Survivors, Gavin has graciously offered to cook a breakfast feast Sunday morning, if there are enough to warrant it. There may be some additional fighting on Sunday as well, for those who have not quite gotten it out of their systems yet.

      All of this can be had for a mere $15 (overnight stay/camping included). Children 6 to 12 are just $7.50, and children under the age of 6 are free. In addition, for those who cannot attend feast, but wish to battle for the day, a $3 charge just for fighting is also offered. Pentwyvern and Einherjar will also be accepting donations of canned food goods to be donated to Cleveland Food Bank. A donation of two canned goods will save you $1 off of your feast or battle admission. I shall be adding a Paypal link for those who wish to pay in advance. All others who wish to prepay may send checks made payable to Kingdom of Pentwyvern c/o Bill Ludwig, 4568 Silverdale Road, North Olmsted, OH 44070. Please include mundane name as well as persona name. I will keep a list online of pre-registrations so that you will know that I have received your monies.

      Directions to Hall: If you’re coming from the Northwest, all points Michigan, and northern Indiana, and Chicago area. Take 80 east (80 is a toll road), to 71. Take 71 south to 303 east. You will pass threw a few small townships, then turn south on State Road. You will travel aprox 2 miles on this road and there will be a sign for the Brooklyn Exchange Club Cabin. That’s it. There will be a Pentwyvern banner posted at the entrance, and I will talk to the local police about possibly hanging some other signs at the State Road turn.

      From the south take 71 north and then turn onto 303 east and follow above directions.

      From Akron, take Rt 8 north to the 303 exit and go west. Turn south on State Road, not the same State Road in Cuyahoga Falls, and follow above directions
